How do I choose the right converter or adaptor for my equipment?
Start with the interfaces already on your equipment (for example RS232, RS485, RS422, USB or Ethernet) and the interface you need to connect it to. Also note the required cable distance, whether electrical isolation is needed, and your operating environment. What is the difference between RS232, RS485 and RS422?
RS232 is a point-to-point serial interface suited for short distances (typically under 15 metres) and single-device connections. RS485 and RS422 support longer distances (up to 1200 metres) and, in the case of RS485, multi-drop networks with several devices on the same line. If your application needs longer cable runs or multiple connected devices, RS485 is usually the better choice.
Do you offer isolated versions of your converters and adaptors?

What is a serial to Ethernet converter, and what can I connect with one?
A serial to Ethernet converter (also called a serial device server) lets equipment with only a serial port — RS232, RS485 or RS422 — communicate over a standard Ethernet or IP network. It encapsulates serial data into TCP/IP packets and unpacks it back to serial at the other end, so devices like PLCs, sensors, meters and barcode scanners that were never designed for networking can be accessed and monitored remotely.
How does a GSM/SMS alerter work for remote equipment monitoring?
A GSM SMS alerter monitors your equipment's digital inputs or voltage signals and sends an SMS to pre-set phone numbers the moment a fault or alarm condition is triggered, using a standard SIM card with no internet connection required. It's a practical way to get instant notification of equipment failures, power loss or threshold breaches at unmanned or remote sites, without installing a full SCADA system.
What's the difference between 125 kHz and MIFARE RFID readers?
125 kHz readers are lower cost and suited to basic identification tasks like door access or asset tags, but offer limited security since card data isn't encrypted. MIFARE (13.56 MHz) readers support mutual authentication and encrypted data storage, making them the better choice for access control or any application handling sensitive data.
